Hi All, Is there a general explanation on how IR repeaters work? These are the general questions I am trying to understand... 1. Will different manufactures products generally work with each other ? IE Sensor/receiver, emitter, connector block. 2. When I look at a connecting block there seems to be no active components. This leads me to believe that 12v is sent to the sensor and this is where the active stuff happens. 3. I saw a connector block with one rec input, one emitter output and 12V. Was this needed just to insert the 12v to the sensor? Maybe there is already a thread, I just didn't see it. thx, gordo
IR repeaters duplicate and, usually, amplify the IR signal. They can be brand specific or universal.
If more that one IR transmitter is needed, a terminal block is used. They all need a source of power.
