Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has interfaced with the Chamberlain or LiftMaster MyQ enabled Garage Door Opener.

I have an opener I purchased from Lowes:
http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?partNumber=349544-38782-349544

I want to integrate it into a system with a web/internet interface that can also turn on/off lights and lock/unlock doors (future expansion). My question is: is MyQ technology proprietary, or can I tap into it using a Z-Wave or ZigBee control device like:
http://www.smarthome.com/13705/Mi-Casa-Verde-VeraLite-US-INSTEON-Compatible-Z-Wave-Controller/p.aspx

The idea here is to have it all in one system. I have seen the product from LiftMaster that enables control via the internet:
http://www.liftmaster.com/LMCV2/pages/productmodeldetail.aspx?modelId=9570

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

~Andrew

According to Chamberlain, MyQ is a propriety patented protocol. Only LiftMaster accessories will interface with MyQ.

Stu, has your answer changed in the last 2 years? I now have a myQ garage door and wonder if it will communicate with Insteon and/or ISY.

Chamberlain MyQ is now compatible with the following service providers:

Apple Homekit
Xfinity Home
Nest
Wink

If you go to https://www.chamberlain.com/technology-partners you can see more information on integrating your MyQ app. Hope this helps!
