I've got two qmark 220v heaters in the shop, internal thermostat. Wondering what I would need to wire an external thermostat and some sort of wifi controller to control temp from web interface within LAN.

I can turn heater to always on, then get some sort of relay to control line voltage, and some sort of wifi controller to activate the relay.

Is that the proper way? What smarthome systems would I need?

Insteon network solution:
220v to thermostat adaptor with power supply
Any one Insteon dual-band device in the shop.
Any Insteon controller.
You may need a second dual-band device.

Additional components for wi-fi:
A SmartLinc, Hub, or ISY. Appropriate apps.
