I don't currently have either of these devices with which to test, but my suspicions on these are that to conserve battery they only wake to send their status at regular intervals or if their state changes and probably aren't able to be directly queried.

hi, i understand that, but it would surely update the Hub, so one should be able to query the hub for the last known status? I found this command b.xml?01=1=F added at the back of the hub ip but it returns this

<S D="1F.FC.48.01"/>

I implore of those of you reading this post ... the skillful software engineers who can work magic with code ... please find a way to make the EZFlora Irrigation Device work with the HUB. There is demand for this feature. And many of us with this predicament would be willing to pay for a solution.

This is a user-to-user forum with many talented users. But you may also want to send a request to the Hub programmers: Setting, About INSTEON App, Feedback.

Is anyone still active here?
I've been trying to switch Master thermostats using extended command and it just doesn't work :-(
I'm using home-controller nodejs project as bootsrtap. I am getting ACK back but devices won't switch master role...

var cmd = {
cmd1: '2E',
cmd2: '00',
extended: true,
exitOnAck: true,
userData: ['01', '09', '00']
};

return this.insteon.directCommand(this.id, cmd)
.then(function (x) {
debugger;
})
.nodeify(next);
