I am trying to configure a 2864-232 camera using the web interface and according to the documentation the Motion Detection page has a section labelled "Action" where you select things like "Send E-mail". On my camera's interface, that section is missing. Am I doing something wrong??

Did you check the Enabled box? Have you configured Mail Settings? IIRC, the setting are under the Network tab.

A bit odd it seems. Did you enable motion detection first?

Not doing something wrong. Try using Internet Explorer or Edge. I have noticed for instance that some of the menu options do not appear for the HD cameras unless the browser can correctly run the web page scripts. I usually use Google Chrome and was confused at first (where most but not all menu options appear) until I tried using Microsoft Edge and then all the menu links appeared (including the alarm and motion settings)
