I have a situation where the coax I was using for LFE between my denon receiver and my active subwoofer got cut. I ran speaker wire in case I ever wanted to do in wall and passive sub.

Is it possible to do LFE out of the receiver to speaker wire back to LFE or RCA into the polk active subwoofer?

Thanks..

That will work, but you will lose some sound quality and may introduce noise due to using an unshielded cable. Some active subwoofers have connections for speaker wire, but then you lose the advantage of LFE (lows only).

I've had success using this kit to replace damaged coax for a subwofer.
