Hi.. I have made a temporary house shifting due to a major renovation at home. It may take a few months to complete the renovation and until then, I'll be staying at a furnished apartment rental. During my shifting process, my speaker system got damaged severely and I am thinking about a replacement. The sound system at the apartment is not so good. I am looking for a not so expensive one which can be easily assembled and dismantled. The reason is I may soon need to move it my home. I don't prefer speakers that are too bulky, but should offer good sound quality. Can anyone make some good suggestions?

I remember turning up my old Sony 5.1 to full volume and blasting it when there was nobody home. I'm looking for a replacement as well.

Regards,
Alex

There are so many sound bars, home-theater-in-a-box systems, and separates, at prices from $100 to thousands that it is almost meaningless to offer a single recommendation. If "easily assembled and dismantled" is the primary concern, I would think a soundbar is going to be your best bet. I would simply go listen to some within your price range and pick the best based upon your preferences. For ease of installation and control, I would tend to favor one that has HDMI-CEC and ARC (Audio Return Channel) through the HDMI connection. Of course, your TV would have to support this, as well.

Ooops, I now see that the OP was back in April! Ugh.
