We currently have a hard wired home security system with home monitoring. We are considering a wireless system with cellular. If we cancel the home monitoring with the hard wired company, will the sensors still work and set off the 2 sirens in the home? If so, we then can scale back the needed equipment for the wireless system.

Thanks.

That depends entirety on which existing system, which new system and the devices installed by each.

The hard wired sensors and hard wired sirens are wired to the hard wired alarm control panel. Generally, the wireless alarm control panel has hard wired input zones to connect hard wired sensors and output voltage to trigger hard wired siren. For example, Focus alarm system ST-IVB GSM /GPRS alarm panel has 8 wired input zones and built in siren with 1 output hard wired siren and more wireless siren for equip. Details can be check at http://www.vedardalarm.com/newest-gsm-alarm-system-w-pir-door-contact-wireless-security-p-12
So, you can just replace the alarm panel and re-wire the wired sensors and sirens.
