Does an energy management saving tool in a multi-site retail companies make sense? With the rising cost of energy, increased interest in sustainability, stronger financial constraints and the magnitude of consumption by retailers especially those with multiple locations, it seems that every opportunity to save energy and costs is important. What do you think is the particular approach for retailers to be able to do this? Are there innovative technology solutions available to help retail companies with multiple sites find and capitalize on efficient energy-saving opportunities, as well as operational efficiencies?

You can spend zillions on technology to "save" energy, keeping in mind that the technology also ueses energy, needs to be maintained and even more energy and resources are required to manufacture it. More often than not a common sense policy with selected employees responsible for its enforcement is the best way.
