Hi, I just moved into a property and am looking at installing my first home automation devices so I have a few (probably dumb) questions. I have 3 buildings on some land and I want to add exterior lighting on all 3 buildings. I also want to add some separate motion detectors and a dusk to dawn so I can control different lights with a variety of events. So, I wondered about putting up the lights and put a micro light switch in each one to control them? Do these need to be scene capable micros to be able to add a separate switch (like a 3 way) to turn on the lights? And are microswitches scene cabable? Or any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
All Insteon devices are scene capable. An Insteon scene is created when any Insteon device controls another Insteon device.
There can be more than one controller, but a device can control one and only one scene. There can be more than one responder. There's virtually no limit to how many scenes a responder can be a member (several hundred, actually).
