Posted - 12/29/2014 : 06:45:09 AM The IC5002 states that it has "normally open dry output contact closure to ring a customers 3rd party chime". However, since most chimes use a transformer and 24v's, I am not sure how I can use the dry output contacts on this unit to ring my doorbell. If I wire it using the typical door bell button wiring, the unit would be getting 24v. Since this is a new construction scenario, I looked for chimes that accept a dry contact closure to ring the bell and have come up empty. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Posted - 12/29/2014 : 08:06:52 AM Dry Closure indicates it would act like a Door Bell Push button. So wire it as the door bell button. In a typical door bell wiring scheme. Just verify the output is rated at the voltage and current the door bell you are using is in its specification. |
