Posted - 07/14/2016 : 01:51:21 AM Hi everybody. I was hoping to get some advice on alternative methods of flea control for my cat (Lucky). She's very much an outdoor cat and I treat her every few weeks to keep on top of any fleas or parasites she may pick up. I've always used flea spray of the medicated variety from the local pet store, but I have read that this can be bad for the animal as they obviously ingest the spray and chemicals when they clean themselves. Can anyone recommend a homemade organic method of flea control? I've been looking online but couldn't find anything that met my requirements. Does anybody know of anywhere else I could try? Any help would be much appreciated.

Posted - 04/15/2020 : 11:20:18 PM You can comb your cat with a fine-toothed metal flea comb from head to tail several times a day. This will skim off adult fleas and their eggs and ease her itching. Then, dip the comb in a mixture of water and liquid dish detergent to kill the fleas. Hope it helps. |

Posted - 11/25/2019 : 03:22:47 AM Good topic! Usually I use Vectra to protect my cat from fleas and it works great. I buy it on Pet Express. I should say, there is a wide range of such products at the reasonable prices there. But it is good to know non-chemical ways, so thanks for sharing your experience, guys! |

Posted - 09/13/2018 : 8:06:03 PM Hello, Meta! We used aloe vera juice with pepper to fight fleas. It was quite effective, I must say. + 1 to apple cider vinegar, but there is a problem - it don't kill fleas, but they will jump off your pet. So don't try to use it at home. |

Posted - 09/10/2016 : 03:59:34 AM Hey Meta455, flea problem for pets are increasing tremendously day by day. The organic flea control suggested by stoves is really nice one. But according to me, you should take some hints from a professional flea exterminator. I remember My sister was also fed up with rat nuisance at her home, continuously distracting Cat. Then She took decision of Permanently exterminating rats by contacting to professional Exterminator. |
