I use the Smarthome Manager Software V5.3.26 with an 1132 CU on a Windows XP computer. Will the “software/hardware” work on a Windows 7 computer? Thanks.

Remembered seeing a thread here on the 1132CU and Smarthome Manager not installing with VISTA. The same maybe true with Windows 7. There was a workaround to install on VISTA.
Found the thread with the search function.

I noticed another thread here mentions that Windows 8 recognizes the incompatibility during installation and offers to fix it via an OS compatibility setting. Your path of least resistance may be moving to a PC that shipped with Win 8 or was upgraded to Win 10.

Thanks for the info provided. I will check those threads. Hope my XP computer runs a little bit longer.

I have a need to replace my copy of Smart Home Manager Plus to reprogram an 1132 that was destroyed in the Houston floods.

So, if anybody could locate a copy of the CD-Rom or the .MSI file that would sure be great.

I contacted SmartHome, but that was a dead-end.

Thanks,

-Kyle

You need the extra cost Smarthome Manager Plus program or the Smarthome Manager Essentials that shipped with all the 1132CU modules?

The file that I have a backup of was created with Plus. I'm not sure if I can restore it with Essentials or not. Plus would be the best choice, I guess.

Thanks!

If you backed it up with the Smarthome Manager Plus Version. It may have features, that are not supported in the Smarthome Manager Essentials program.
I would second your thoughts on restoring to a Smarthome Manager Plus version.

I was able to locate the former home owner, whose laptop we'd installed SHM+ on. He let me borrow the PC to recover the .msi file. It hadn't been booted up in a while and was running XP!

I installed the file on my laptop and all is well.

Thanks,

-Kyle
