I am building a new house. I would like to consider all possible 'smart' home improvements and wire the house while it is being built, then add the devices. I want to make sure I don't miss some wiring that would have enabled a feature. Is there a wiring guide for while a house is being built, to enable a substantial (or all) smarthome features?

The only requirement is that each switch box have a neutral wire. The current code requires that, but sometimes the neutral is not included.

As a convenience, each entry to a room should include a switch for that room's lighting

Other than that, standard wiring throughout is all that's needed.

There's also a need for Ethernet, audio and video cables, but that apart from electric wiring.
