What do you guys think about the high price point of the HomePod. I personally feel it might not sell well

I think that the HomePod should do relatively well.

Apple can leverage its branding to attract its loyal customers. The HomePod is also positioned as a premium smart speaker, so homeowners that want top quality sound will pay a little extra for the music experience.

I wish the HomePod had an input much like the Sonos Connect so I could connect my existing receiver and speakers to Siri Voice Control.

As per people expectation, the new Siri smart speaker called "HomePod" will definitely give the fight to Amazon Echo and Google Home.

Apple HomePod audio performance. The audio quality of the Apple HomePod is, to put it simply, premium. It fills a room easily, with clear separation between all elements of music tracks. ... The HomePod is loud too, with Siri asking if you definitely want to do that when you ask the speaker to play at full volume.

Despite some flaws and limitations, the HomePod is the best-sounding smart speaker available – and by quite a margin. When combined with Siri's reinvention as your personal DJ/musical guru, it makes for an endlessly entertaining all-in-one system. Assuming you're already deep in the Apple ecosystem.
