I currently use Honeywell Z-Wave Thermostats for my zoning system with a Vera System Controller. It worked Ok, but sometimes had some issues with thermostats losing their communication with the controller. With the latest iOS upgrade, Vera no longer will connect to my iPhone and I cannot access the thermostats. The App Store says Vera must be upgraded to work with the new iOS system. It doesn't look like that is going to happen. I'm looking to switch to a different system and need to know what thermostats would work with a 8 zone system where all thermostats could be controlled from one app on my iPhone or iPad.

How about Honeywell's evohome? https://getconnected.honeywell.com/en/evohome
Maybe you'll find it suitable as it supports up to 12 zones and is controlled by a single app (available for both, Android and iOS devices). Have in mind that it does not work with Apple Homekit.

Additionally, this article has provided me with some good insights regarding the topic: https://getmysa.com/blogs/2017/12/27/best-thermostat-multiple-zones/
