I just switched my Insteon Hub from 2242 to the 2245. I followed the directions and it went fairly except for..

Before the switch I was able to lock and unlock the door from the Insteon App with the MiLokc RF Doorknow/Deadbolt. It worked real well.

After switching the hubs, I can not get it to work correctly. It will lock with no problem but when I push unlock, it tries to lock the door again. I can sometimes get it to unlock by pushing the unlock twice really quick.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Just a FYI, I did the hub switch to get it to work with the Harmon Invoke and that is working so far.

Being able to lock, but not unlock a door lock is a security feature that's being built into many apps. Even a powerful Insteon manager such as the ISY has that ability built into the available voice apps.

An ISY solution is to create an unlocking program. It seems that you found a Hub solution

Stu,

Thanks for the feedback but.. With the old hub, I could unlock 90% of the time. With this hub and by pushing it twice, it takes about 10 or more tries to get it to unlock.

Is there any solution using the Insteon Hub and Insteon Apps? I have the App for iOS, Windows phone and Windows tablets as well as Android.

As always thanks for the help

Sorry for the multiple posts. I ran some tests and on a Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 tablet, the double tap seems to work fairly consistently. It maybe an issue with my Windows 8.1 phone???

No need to be sorry for any information you post to a forum, unless it's for an offensive post.

You newest post, OTOH, is informative and could be helpful as well, if you've found the problem.

Thanks for the update
