I am a college student doing my final project. I am making final project about Smart Home. One of my Smart Home feature is turn on/off lamp from phone in real time. The problem is my lecturer ask me to define 'real time'. Is there any time standard for real time? Like '4 seconds or less to be categorized as real time'.
Please I really needed the answer

You can always look it up in a dictionary. Generally, it means at once or instantaneously.
