I currently have a manually operated gas lamp that I would like to convert to automatic control via app or switch. Running wiring to it is a no-go. I found a 6v battery operated ignitor for the gas lamp that will turn it on/off when it senses darkness/light via a photocell. I was thinking that I might be able to alter the photocell and connect a zwave relay/switch in order to have wireless operation via a honeywell lyric system that I purchased (not installed yet). The only relays or swtches that I see when I do a search are AC. Any suggestions on how to make this work? Thanks.
