I am searching for IP cameras which best satisfy the following criteria. Hopefully, your experience can guide me to a good choice. I have used Insteon cameras (Foscam) in the past and was reasonably well satisfied with them. However, their supporting app (IP Camera Tool) now requires a plug-in that makes it useless with these cameras. Other than those cameras, I am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I'm not having any difficulty using Foscam cameras with IE. The required plug-in installs correctly. The same can't be said of FireFox.

Stu: I am trying to refine my research of the Foscam cameras. It appears they will work with Safari. If so, that will be my selection.

Make that a maybe on Safari. More research to do. I understand that the Smarthome cameras were manufactured by Smarthome. Has anyone tried a factory reset of one of these cameras and then tried to set it up with Foscam software?

That should have read "manufactured by Foscam" not by Smarthome!

I have since contacted Foscam regarding my camera and model number. Their reply, "They did not manufacture that camera." They told me to contact the seller! I have gone back to Smarthome and I am awaiting their reply.
