Hi I am trying to resurrect an old 2414U PLC to control an EZIO40 that I use to control my greenhouse misting systems, but my old Windows XP machine (the only thing that can talk to it anymore) died. I have resurrected another old PC with XP but am missing some files. While I can find the SDM3 Device Drivers for the 2414U which are included in the simplehomesuite zip files, the *.ump mapping files aren't there and I can't find them on the smarthome site or elsewhere. Does anyone still have these?
What version of SDM3 is installed from the Simplehomenet suite? SDM3-308 was the last one given to us in the Developers Group. It had eight UMP files in it but I believe only two covered the two firmware versions in the 2414U.
It was one of the programs we could freely distribute. Too bad most of the developers sites are now gone. Where you could download it.
SDM version still apparently .308. The one I have was included in the simplehomenet suite zip file, but did not include any map files. still like the PLC because it can run a timer independently after programming, the PLM as far as I can figure out would require a 24/7/365 PC running controlling software to trigger EZIO40, and also like that I can trigger EZIO from an insteon switch as well for on demand misting cycle too. Can't figure out what new solution is in Insteon world. I have to have something that can trigger a pump and valve at the same time for two different misting circuits, needs to go off twice a day. If you have any ideas let me know. Everything I'm using is discontinued (EZIO40 and 2414U) The pump and valve controls are 120AC.
The EZIO4O has been replaced by a IoT4R. Smartenit indicated it is equivalent to the EZIO4O with an added WiFi feature. So if yours fails it could be replaced. I don't have any experience with the Insteon HUB. So I don't know if it can do what you need. I know a base model ISY-994i with a 2413S PLM could do it easily. It can stand alone after you program it. Also can do the now standard Insteon I2CS messaging. The 2414U/S could not.
