Years ago I purchased a plug in on/off module (ICON #2856S3) for control of a lamp with a single bulb. It always worked fine with an incandescent bulb but became unreliable with an LED bulb, I assume because the load was too low. Are the new modules (Insteon ITEM #: 2635-222) any better in this regard?

The Icon 2856S3 has Local Control Sensing and depending on hardware revision a Snubber across the internal relay.

Both may keep an LED bulb glowing, pulsing or turning back On when turned Off with the low sensing currents.

The Dual Band 2635-222 On/Off module does not have them and should be better.

Just tried a FEIT 1 Watt Night Light bulb on a 2635-222. It did not glow ,pulse or turn back On. That same bulb does glow with the Insteon 2456S3 ApplianceLinc module.
