I currently use X10 UM506 modules to control some motorized window shades, but the relay in the UM506 is rather noisy. In momentary mode, in response to a X10 command, the relay clanks on and then clanks off 2 seconds later.

So I'm searching for something that's not as noisy. The Insteon 2450 I/O Linc looks like it could be set up to do exactly the same thing. But how noisy is the 2450?

The relay in a 2450 is not loud compared to an X10 UM506.
About the same click as the relay in my 2456S3 AppliandLinc or 2476S SwitchLinc.

The only thing a 2450 does not have is the internal sounder. As some used the sounder in their setup.
