A ductless mini split system offers many advantages compared to other types of heating and cooling systems. They are efficient, affordable, and can be used in a variety of applications. Below are a few of the most common ductless mini split applications.

Room Additions

If you’re adding on to your home or business, you’ll need to find a solution for space heating and cooling. Extending the structure’s heating and cooling system may not be an option; your furnace or air conditioner may not have the capacity to meet the needs of the additional space, or extending ducts into the new space may not be possible. Installing a ductless mini split system can be done affordably to provide heating and cooling for the new addition.

Homes and Businesses with No Ducts

If you’d like to add heating and cooling to a home or commercial building that doesn’t have existing duct work, the cost of traditional forced air systems may be cost prohibitive, as an entire duct system would have to be installed in addition to the heating and cooling equipment. Installing a ductless mini split system will allow you to heat and cool the space efficiently while keeping installation costs affordable.

Multi-Family Housing

Ductless mini split systems are a cost-effective option for heating and cooling apartments, duplexes, and other multi-family housing units. These systems allow each unit control over their own heating and cooling without affecting others. Ductless mini splits are commonly used in housing applications such as nursing homes and hospitals.

Commercial Buildings

Common commercial applications would include office space attached to a warehouse that is unconditioned, or in the lobby of a commercial building.
