I want to install a mesh wifi that will work with wireless cameras for a 2500 sq ft house and detached 1200sq apartment. I was considering the Orbi AC3000 and a Orbi Outdoor to extend to the apartment. My issue is this will be located in the Caribbean and I have read that the Orbi has issues with firmware updates that require you to physically reboot the system. This house is used as a vacation rental and I can't have the guests having to deal with a buggy system. What would be a good system to have wifi and wireless cameras over a large area like this. Also, I have Z Wave locks on three doors so I would like the system to be compatible with ZWave. I tried SmartThings but they interfered with the existing cameras signal so I removed them. I want a more robust wifi and an willing to change the camera system in order to make the whole thing work flawlessly.

If you're worried the simplicity of having a WiFi camera comes at the cost of image quality, your concerns are well directed. Certain models, especially early ones, may upload files at lower resolutions than what is stored on the camera. The high-quality shots remain on the camera, so they can still be transferred through a wired connection when you have the chance. You won't have that problem with most newer models, though.
