In every unreliable system there may be failures, so choose a quality product for yourself. In my house, safety sensors and fire safety sensors are used, everything was checked and works fine.

Smoke Detector Malfunction
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.
This morning around 4am, our smoke detector woke us up with a single, long (1-2 sec) chirp. What would cause this? It’s a non-descript (can’t see a brand name), white, battery powered smoke alarm.

Yes, we can not make sure the electronic products always are 100% accurate. Sometimes it will malfunction. If the smoke detector malfunction, it can not detect the fire risk in time, maybe you will suffer great losses because of fire. But without it, maybe losses will be more. So it need us to maintain the detector frequently.
