I have a Nexia system with a Trane Thermostat. It works but I am increasingly frustrated with the lack of compatible devices, the need for an internet connection at all times, monthly fees, etc. I tried one of there cameras and it was terrible.

I am looking for a system that is more flexible, doesnt need an internet connection to function, will work with my existing Z wave devices and preferably no monthly fees. During the recent power outages we went for days without functionality even though we had backup power.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I have never used a Nexia system, so cannot say with certainty what would be more flexible, but I can say that the ISY994zw is pretty darn flexible, works with z-wave devices, requires no internet to work, and has no monthly fees (unless you also require echo or nest home integration).

As an aside, the ISY994 does nothing with, or to, cameras.
