My in-laws have electric radiators, simply plugged in to the mains sockets. I'm thinking how I can get these to be controlled by a proper heating thermostat, so the system feels more like a regular heating system.

I have a wifi-controlled thermostat that I could install. I think it uses the Smart-Life app or similar (SmartRM) Is there any way the system could tell some smart sockets to turn on when the temperature drops? Of course being a real thermostat there are wire outputs for 'load' that get a current to supply the heating, but I'm not able to hard-wire these, I'd like to find a way of using the 'smart' side of the thermostat to switch wifi sockets remotely.

I'm thinking the thermostat is able to be controlled by the App, but I don't know if the status of the thermostat is able to switch devices, sort of working the other way round?

The other option is these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07HSZXV94/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AOEEFSR57MRV2&psc=1, to simply switch a socket when the temperature at a thermostat drops, but the thermostat doesn't look as good, and also the plugs are pretty bulky!

Any ideas appreciated! Thanks

Or, is there some device, a sonoff or something that I can send the 'load' signal to that could read the status of the thermostat and in turn control a smart plug?

Or how about something like a smart relay? Like this:

Would this switch the smart sockets when the power from the heating control gave it power?
What would happen if the switches on any of the electric radiator's sockets were manually pressed?
