I just installed a new fan directly wired to wall switch and did not use remote. How do I change the light from bright white to warm white without using the remote ?

I don’t think that’s possible, not unless the fan model in question is advertised as being compatible with Alexa or Google Home.

Insteon won't do this for you, even if you use their fan module and/or dimmer switch. The best bet would be to find color-changing WiFi LED light bulbs to use in the fan. For example, the TP-Link Casa wifi bulbs have the ability to change the color temperature of white, in addition to endless colors. However, they only come in standard base, so if your fan uses candelebra you'll have to find another brand. They are out there though.
