I have a Honeywell Vista 15p with two 6151 panels. They are working fine.

I now want to add a switch to the extra contacts on one of the the 6151s .. saves me running a pair of wires a LONG way back to the controller.

I have enabled the "zone expander" on the 6151 and set the zone to 6.

I have configured the controller using Compass, telling it that Zone 6 is an entry/exit contact with EOLR.

I have added a 2k resistor to the contact.

It doesn't work. Zone 6 always shows as not ready.

This doesn't actually surprise me, as Zone 6 is a hardwired zone on the controller; why would it believe the 6151 over "its own eyes".

But I'm not quite sure what to try next. Everything else in Compass is either a hardwired zone on the controller OR an RF zone.

Any thoughts appreciated.
