Hi,

By the way, happy new year !

Hi would like add my mini remote 8 button to Home Assistant, but I'm obligate to add category and the sub-category.

I tried 0x00 for cat. and 0x1a for sub-cat.

Does anyone know the category and the sub-category of an 8-buttons mini remote?

Thanks

The unit was originally called a Remotelinc 2 and changed to a Mini Remote. They had the same cat of 0x00 but the sub cat was changed when the overseas versions where also made.

You are talking about the 8 scene model. With each button toggling a scene on and off. Not a 4 scene with each row having a separate on and off button.
I looked at the developers-products chart I have with some of the cat and sub cat numbers.
The 8 scene is 0x00 0x12 RemoteLinc 2, Mini Remote 0x00 0x1a
If you have a 4 scene with a separate on and off key. 0x00 0x10 RemoteLinc 2, 0x00 0x1b Mini Remote.

Thanks BLH...
I have tried them all, and nothing helps ... I think the problem is with Home Assistant's
virtual image ... I believe this image is not complete ... During the next week, I will
try it with a real Linux installation! This way I will be able to check the config files.
Thanks again !
