I have an insteon hub with many dimmers and thermostats connected to it. I just ordered my first somfy motor to play with and would love if I could controller it through insteon setup I already have. If the somfy install goes well was going to install a bunch more as well as get the insteon to somfy drape control kit. I see you have been mailing others on this setup and looking to get as much info as I can. Do you mind forwarding anything useful I may have missed in this forum. This is cool stuff to say the least.

Hi Paceyben,

It sounds like your bridge is the solution to my problem. I've been using a ISY99 for a few years along with Mobilinc. I'm now upgrading to ISY994i and was looking at the RTS and I/O linc solution from Smarthome. However, I am not controlling a window shade but a sunsetter awning with a 10 feet or so extention. So, to me, the obvious shortcoming with this solution is the inability to stop midway. But it looks like your bridge supports open, close and stop. So, I would like to use a 6-button keypad near the patio door where the awning is installed. The 3 left buttons would control various lights in the garden, leaving the 3 right button to control the awning. The goal being to provide discrete control of the awning. So top button opens, bottom button closes and middle button stops. Super simple and super intuitive so that anyone can operate without any explanation. This would also, I suspect, faciltate control via Mobilinc. Given that a stop command requires a dim or birghten, do you or anyone see this as possible?

Also, I would greatly appreciate if you could email me info on the bridge. Many thanks!

Bruce

Paceyben,
We have 5 somfy shades in the bedroom, controlled with an io linc and Somfy Interface. We are going to add a shade or two in our great room. Can you send me info on your device. What is the range since the two rooms are very close and I may be able to use only one device rather than two.
Thank you,
Eric

Devices (approx): ISY-994 Pro, 15 KPLs, 33 switchlincs, 4 outletlincs, 2 door sensors, 3 Lamp-lincs, 5 Appliance-lincs, i/o-lincs for ELK WSV2, Somfy bridge,and garage door sensor, Leak Sensors, 2 motion sensors, 4 access points, about 20 X10 devices.

EricK, the Somfy Bridge is an Insteon responder that interfaces with a Somfy transmitter (sold separately), either a Somfy RS232 Automation Interface 16 Channel RTS (1810686) or a Somfy 16 Channel Universal RTS Interface (1810872).

The range of the Somfy transmitters is given as 65'. We don't get that distance, so I added a repeater.

I am very interested in this.
I was going to build my own, but there wasn't enough documentation for Insteon to figure out what to do.

Could you send me some information.
Thanks.

I am in the process of selecting blinds for four windows. I have an ISY and a bunch of Insteon devices, I would like to integrate the blinds. I would like to be able to open/close and tilt if possible, with tilt being the priority. The blinds will be vertical. Can your device help? Please email me info, thanks!

Hello, could you also send me the info? I also have the Sunsetter awning with the remote. Looking into tying something to bring it in when the wind or hail starts up!
Thanks

And if you only need to control one shade, this has everything you need and works perfect:

Yes that option is relevant for a single shade where you don't need the stop or preset function. It is available on Smarthome for the same price new if you buy the components separately. So I assume you linked to Amazon because you are trying to sell yours there. Thanks for posting.

The Netherlands uses a different voltage (220V) and frequency (50Hz) then is needed by the bridge (120V, 60Hz)

Maybe Paceyben has a different solution.
