I have seen the cat watering fountains that have the large tanks to decrease refill points.

Does anyone have a suggestion or product for connecting the tank to the plumbing system so that the tank gets refilled automatically?

That way there is practically no maintenace needed to fill tank.

practically no maintenance needed to fill tank but you still need to maintain the cleanliness of the tank right. however, still interested to know if there is such product. will wait for replies.

we have used the Drinkwell fountains for years, that also have an extra reservoir so you don't have to fill all that often. Our cats love them. They have a website or you can find them at

I agree with carlobee... they need to be cleaned anyway, so I see little benefit to hard-plumbing them.

That said, though, a homebrew setup would be pretty straightforward; all you'd need is a level switch and a solenoid valve to turn the water on/off.

Cleanliness is very much required. Pets specially need to be cleaned. Some of them love water and others donít.

Many pets like cleanliness. Most people do, too. But, I've never had a pet that didn't like water.

Except being in it
